On 26th June 2010 25 pole dance schools from around the world took part in the 4th Pole Unity making it the best and most inventive show yet. We had a mixture of beautiful pole work with great choreography and such diversity in styles. It was fantastic to see all different shapes, sizes, ages and abilities take part, with some schools running for less than a year and one school's performers had a combined age of 245.

Each year gets bigger and better and its definitely a reflection how times have change. Pole Unity is such a special event, that gives any one the opportunity to perform on stage in a non-competitive environment, which means everyone is a winner. Over 180 pole dance performers were watched by 400 spectators in the Whyylotts Theatre near London.

This year we chose to donate to Debbie Plowman’s Happy Faces Trust, Which hopes to help Debbie get back on her feet after a terrible accident falling from the pole left her paralysed from the neck down (Debbie was performing a cross ankle release in December 2009, a move she had practised many times before, when she slipped and fell twisting her spinal cord). Pole Unity helped to raise over £800 which we would like to thank every one for.

Applications are now open for 2011 and we are looking for pole dance school/groups to take part from all over the world to show every one what Pole Dancing is all about.
